  3. I met Shani and her family in 1982. I rented their basement in Detroit. I was 22. And not so shomer Shabbos Shani welcomed me and embraced me as her own. I observed a Torah observant family who walked the walk and talked the talk and, with humor ! Fast forward to 2015. My shomer Shabbos family shares a third meal with her family. The screaming the laughter the hugs the stories were endless. Why yes I’m wearing a Sheitel and yes we eat only kosher. It was Shani and Shmuel with their kindness and leading by example and taking time the time to teach me. I finally was able to say thank you, To tell them how grateful I have been For their time patience and hearts. I also got to introduce 2/3 of my triplets to them. We came to NY to rent a gown. Fast forward to September 16,2019. Shani and Shmuel attend my second daughters wedding at the Manhattan Beach Jewish Center. Shani asks me where my parents were-I told her they passed away. Shani looked at me and sadly stated that I was an orphan… true. So what did Shani do ? At the bedecken she sat right next to me, she held my hand and celebrated our families Simcha together. I wasn’t alone. Once again, she embraced me. We kissed we hugged we laughed. Rabbi Shmuel blessed my daughter Emma. I cried. (Talk about a full circle !). 1982-2016. Thank you Shani (and Shmuel) for your kindness and hearts. Shani, through all the years And not seeing you, you have impacted my life. BH for divine providence. I love the relationship where friends don’t see each other for years-and when they do- they pick up just where they left off. That was us. Shani I have always valued you. Your warped humor, your dedication to your family and the knowledge you have and share with others. YOU are a woman of valor. I love you.

  4. I was so shocked to hear last night as I didn’t know she was unwell. I will miss her simchas Hachaim tremendously. May HKBH send a Nechama to her esteemed husband, children and extended Scheinerman family, who I’ve known since I was a child. And I’ll never forget how we took her up on her invitation to come by, when they lived in Baltimore. We were on our way to Silver Spring and got stuck in Baltimore. I called her and right away she asked when we’re coming and I told her we’re already here. And she graciously put us up for the night!

  5. BDE my best friend. Highschool was manageable with shani. We just celebrated our 50 graduation anniversary. The light of the party. The tznius. The optimism. The hours I spent in the scheinerman household. My heart goes out to her siblings. Mimsi. Faygie. Peretz
The good I Am what I am because of shani and the scheinermans.
