We regret to inform you of the Petirah of Mrs. Deborah Kern A”H, who was Niftar over Shabbos in Lakewood. She was in her nineties.
Mrs. Kern A”H and her husband Jerry Z”L, were longtime Lakewood residents.
Mrs. Kern A”H was a teacher at the Lakewood public school system for approximately 40 years, and her father-in-law started ‘Kern’s’ butcher store in Lakewood in 1916.
Her children are:
Howard Kern of Silver spring, MD, Leslie Friedlander of Phoenix, AZ, and Gwen Caplan of Phoenix, AZ.
The Levaya will take place at 1:30 PM Sunday at the 7th Street Chapel, and Kevura in Lakewood.
The family will be sitting Shiva at the Englard residence, 1313 Forest Avenue through Tuesday.
