he would come to a chaburah and distribute photocopies of the sources to help others understand what he was saying. besides his tremendous knowledge he was also a very caring and thoughtful Rosh Chaburah who had a heart for the bnei hachaburah.

His LIFE was Torah.
You could see that he loved learning with all his being, his chiyyus. Also he loved to share it with others.
On Friday nights at Bais Halevi he would love to give over a ktzos to the young Mesivta boys, and after davening on Shabbos day he would do the same, introducing it with his patented, “You give me two minutes, I’ll give you the world!”

I knew R Yosef quite well. If you want to know what R Aharon wanted from a younger man in Lakewood you can just look at R Yosef.
May he be a meilitz yosher for us all and the next time we want to raise standards of gashmius in Lakewood think of R Yosef and what Lakewood should be.

I witnessed amazing kibbud av during R’ Yoisef’s stay in Leisure Chateau. Yerucham Gelb would be there morning and night at his fathers side tending to the slightest discomfort or need. Truly inspiring!
