A man is dead in an apparent homicide in Lakewood, officials confirm to TLS.

Police received a call this afternoon about the shooting, which apparently occurred last night on MLK Drive, sources say.

Police have released little information about the incident, but a post on social media apparently from the victim’s mother surfaced today.

“…….his life was cut short by senseless violence…words cannot express the pain and sorrow that had been inflicted upon our family….you will forever be in our hearts.”

Police are also investigating another body found in the area, though that death appears to be a suicide, officials say.
