Person Pulled Unconscious from Structure Fire in Brick; Mutual Aid from Lakewood Requested

5th st fireA person was pulled unconscious from a home fire in Brick a short time ago, officials say.

The Brower Street structure fire broke out shortly before 1 AM, and upon arrival firefighters learned there were people trapped inside. Moments later, firefighters were seen pulling at least one person from the fire unconscious.

Emergency personnel performed CPR on at the scene before transporting the patient to Ocean Medical Center, officials say.

Lakewood emergency responders were requested for mutual aid, though it’s unclear at this time if there are other injuries.

  1. Officer Talty of the Brick Township Police Department was first on scene and pulled the unconscious victim out of the structure and across the street to safety, not the fire department.
