  1. It seems that this kind of casualty is the most preventable type of accident in our town…but there is obviously much more to be done.

How about we start introducing in our stores reversible high visibility coats – the kind police officers wear. See following link:

New Port Harbor also customizes for special orders.

I’m not sure about the best way to introduce this, but I’m sure there are enough individuals concerned with the Mitzva of Lo Taamod…to brainstorm on the topic and eventually get sponsors to offset the costs.

Please speak up and tell us what you think of the idea and if you want to get involved.

Kol Hamatzil…is a very special Zchus!

  2. Great job by Lakewood EMS for handling this scene professional and without hesitation. I wonder if a private company would be so quick and handle this patient in the most serious of times. Lets ask the patient when he is discharged from the hospital his opinion.

    EMS I support You

  3. #5 _ I guess your right, Lets see the resumes of the $11.00 per hour employees who work for all family run companies whose only concern is money in their pocket.

  4. I have to assume he wasn’t struck while walking on the sidewalk. I’m not apathetic to his injuries but you are responsible for yourself. Please everyone be careful when crossing the streets and roads.

  5. alot of people in town told me they dont wear reflectors because its “goyish”… its that kind of attitude that is getting people hit all the time

  6. It is Jewish to wear a reflector, because v’nishmartem es nafshoseichem, it is for your protection, to save your life. It’s a mitzva to wear one. I drive at night all the time, and it is sooo hard to see people when all they’re wearing is black.

  7. I have a great idea! It’s novel, it’s new, it’s exciting! Why don’t we try walking on the sidewalk! People rarely drive on the sidewalk. I hardly ever see it done. Or maybe we can convince drivers to drive on the sidewalk and we can all walk in the road, right in the middle of the road if we choose. Lets have a big meeting with the police and township committee and see if we can do it!!!!

  8. I would like you to find me ONE person who thinks wearing a reflector is GOYISH. that is THE MOST ASININE THING i have ever read on this website and believe me there have been many!!
