Pedestrian struck by vehicle, seriously injured on Pine Street

A pedestrian was struck by a vehicle and seriously injured this evening in Lakewood, officials say.

The accident occurred approximately 10:30 PM on Pine Street, in front of the OEM headquarters.

Police say the pedestrian was struck by at least one vehicle, and possibly by second.

The patient was transported by EMS to Jersey Shore University Medical Center with serious injuries.

Lakewood’s Traffic Safety division is responding for the investigation. Road closures in place for the investigation.
