There seem to be alot of pedestrian hits in that stretch of road.

How about thinking into some cheap improvements? that can be implemented without any approvals?

lets say adding yellow signs “watch for pedestrians?
or reflective blinkers (perhaps solar powered) along the medians?
how about adding some additional crossing gaurd hours in that area?near the hospital?or near wawa?
i understand that implementing a city wide speed limit with speed cameras is too drastic for many

Maybe we somehow can cut down on distracted driving, the other day I was walking in a crossword a car stopped for the stop sign and then started again and nearly hit me……

Wear A Reflector

I agree that many drivers must think they are Hashem.
Hashem is your co-pilot, not you, the driver.
Same goes for wearing a reflector.

How about these ABSOLUTELY FREE ideas:

PUT DOWN the phone and PAY ATTENTION
WEAR a REFLECTOR
