  1. Maybe the person ran in front of the bus!!!!!!!!! People in this town, cross the street without looking most of the time. Always in a hurry! Everyone is fast to blame the busdriver………

  2. Ironically, I seem to recall that one of proposals by the new BOE transportation official was to announce Park Ave and Squankum “safe zones”, so that we could cut busing costs for kids living in the area and have them cross and walk to schools.
Or do I recall wrong? If I do not, what a way to save money… NOT

  3. #2 I don’t think the person ran out in front of the bus. Bus driver are (moderated). their the one in a hurry trying to get to the schools on time when there is all kinds of traffic. I think the bus drivers play a game with each other how can get their “Deliveries” done the quickest. I say this only because on the corner of NewHampshier and CederBridge I had the left turn GREEN to New Hampshier and half into the turn a school bus went thru the RED light almost took me out he never slowed down completely missed seeing the light.

  4. well I can tell you being a bus driver in this town for a long time it is not always our fault and yes there are few bad apples out there and not all of us rush around town to get the kids to and from school. Do any of you who are quick to judge, know how many times a day some one runs my reds because they are to much in a hurry? To many too count. I know no one likes to be stuck behind when we are picking up or dropping off, but it’s a fact of life, if you don’t want to get stuck go down another street, just remember the next time your coming down the street and there is a bus getting ready to stop and their red lights are on it is NOT ok to beep as your going through them or to wave at me like it’s ok to do that too, I have your daughters, sons, nieces, nephews, grandchildren and next door neighbors on the bus who are trying to do so but can’t safely because you act like your too important to be bothered to stop for a school bus, oh and btw, it’s a $500 fine and 4 points on your license, but hey, if you can afford it then by all means continue to do so.

  5. the way people drive in this town, its a miracle to just get across a street alive. i’m afraid to get out of the truck in lkw.

  6. people in lakewood are always on the phone and or texting. Lets be honest, why have stop signs when no one stops or aurning right at red lights is a joke.
The community wants busses so adhere to the law. I have personaly seen cars go around busses when picking childen up

  7. I personaly know the driver of the bus he was not at fault he was in no rush it was just one of those things they are called accidents for a reason
