A pedestrian was seriously injured in a hit-and-run collision late last night in Lakewood, authorities said.
As first reported on TLS Status, the incident occurred around 11:00 PM at the intersection of Route 70 and Vermont Avenue, where a vehicle struck the pedestrian and fled the scene.
Paramedics treated the victim at the scene before transporting him to Jersey Shore University Medical Center with serious injuries.
The Lakewood Police Department Traffic Safety division is actively investigating the crash.
