A pedestrian was seriously injured in an accident on Rt. 9 this evening.
The accident happened at Lanes Mill Road, just north of the Lakewood-Howell border.
Hatzolah paramedics responded to the scene.
In a separate incident around the same time, a pedestrian was found with a head injury lying on the shoulder on River Avenue, leading emergency personnel to believe he was struck by a vehicle. It turned out to be an intoxicated person who fell in the roadway.
Earlier this week, a pedestrian was struck and killed by a vehicle on Rt. 9 in Howell.
