Pedestrian Seriously Injured After Being Struck by Vehicle

ped struckPHOTO: A pedestrian was struck and seriously injured after being struck by a vehicle this evening, officials say. The pedestrian, a woman, was walking in the area of MLK Drive and John Street shortly after 9 PM when she was struck.

EMS and Hatzolah responded to the scene,and found the woman unconscious, sources on scene confirm to TLS. The patient also smelled of alcohol, an official said, though it’s unclear if it was a factor in the accident.

The hood and windshield of the vehicle which struck the woman were severely damaged in the accident, an official said.

The victim was transported by EMS to Jersey Shore Medical Center in serious condition.

  2. for that official to claim alcohol was involved should be suspended. If there was its a factor but for someone to have a significant injury to the head will also cause a person to smell heaviliy intoxicated. Trained professionals know that and this is a problem.

MyThought is regardless of alcohols on her breath or not what about the driver how fast we’re you going in that area for my niece to have damaged your car .for the wind shield to pop out of car and hood of car to be so damaged the speed limit in that area is no more then 25 to30m so how fast we’re you going for her to damage car in that way huh?

  4. Went to see niece today very sad it’s been a week she still hasn’t woke up . This is bad we are praying that she wakes up she’s connected to so many I-vs .I hope to god justice is served for what she is suffering and what are family is suffering as well . I love my niece and I hope so much for her recovery it’s so sad for this beautiful person that’s been threw Anough hard times in her life to have to suffer something as terrible as this it not fair how much more suffering does she have to do god please have mercy on her soul were praying for a miracle and for her to wake up open her eyes talk to us even move one of her body parts will take anything at this point we love you Keisha your family is praying for you babie god bless you!
