PHOTOS & VIDEO: This afternoon, members of the Lakewood P.B.A. Local 71 gave of their time to help out the less fortunate members of the community, by holding their second annual coat drive. At the town’s Red Square, tables were set up with stacks of coats and other clothing items for the needy to choose from, while ‘Soup-erman’ – as Delegate Steve Kelusak called him – filled up cups of hot soup to keep their customers warm.
The group last year distributed about 250 coats, which were donated my members of the community.
G-D bless them for what they do
G-d bless the LPD. No matter how you feel about Tent City and Ocean County homeless situation, its heartening to see that people still care about their fellow man who’s down on their luck 🙂
way to go PBA 71!! So glad to see some coats that had been collecting dust now put to good use for those in need
