Tomorrow, the work crew from the OC Jail will once again be coming to Lakewood to clean up graffiti that has been placed on public property. However, if the weather does not cooperate, the work crew will instead clean up garbage and litter around Lake Carasaljo. This Friday, the PBA will be following up with their own “Paint the Town” Campaign this Friday, to clean up and cover over graffiti that has been placed on private property.
Anyone wishing to assist in this worthwhile endeavor is welcome to join in and or donate paint or painting supplies.
The group will be meeting at the Blue Claws Stadium at noon to get organized and plan their course of action for the day.
“I encourage all Lakewood residents to join in and be a part of this PBA sponsored “Community Event”, says Police Chief Rob Lawson.
its nice to help but bringing the inmates is a good idea
joe parker road got hit again……not as bad
To think that the citizens say these public employees don’t deserve their retirement payouts.
These officers are coming out on their days off with their families to paint pieces of your property that has been vandalized. The last time I looked at a job description of a Police Officer it stated nothing about painting fences.
Good work LPD keep it up!
ummm… is it safe for me to help paint next to the jailbirds?
mommy..is it..is it safe for me to cross the road.
#4: The article says that the OC Jail inmates are painting tomorrow and the PBA is painting on Friday-no worries. I think it is great that the police officers are doing this for the town
to WOW ,yes its great the LPD pitches in to undo the grrafiti ,however its not for the town ~ Does the town own the fence? how come the actual owners do not pitch in and help out ?
The police have more important things to do, do it yourself. Also
get use to it. Its the beginning, look at where lakewood is going, it will be bankrupt in no time at all. The police are wonderful people, but enought is enough, its not there job. I would buy cleaner in bulk
your all going to need it.
