Passing of DPW Employee Carlos Galarza

carlosWe regret to inform you of the passing of Carlos Galarza, a devoted employee of Lakewood’s Department of Public Works. Carlos, 60, died on Wednesday after an illness.

 

“He was a hard-working selfless man that would help anyone in need,” a friend of Carlos told TLS. “He loved baseball, and his favorite team was the NY Yankees.”

Carlos worked for the Public Works for approximately 10 years.

He leaves behind his wife Luz, five children and four grandchildren.

(The DPW Supervisor was not available for comment).

Sorry Luz to you and your entire family. Carlos was a nice guy and lotta people will miss him.

This is so sad. I was blessed by having the privilege to work with Carlos. He was a kind hard working man that I will miss dearly. God Bless the Galarza Family.

Carlos didn’t go with the flow. He never cursed or used profanity. He’ll be sorely missed. Unfortunately many Dpw employees use terrible language and talk horribly. God bless Carlos

Omg carlos i luv u so much i cant believe this happen i feel so bad my god why this man? He is like my father to me he always was there for me and my kids carlos ima miss u so much im in shock my heart goes to da family.queque and carlos u knw who i am im so sorry u knw dis man is like my dad its crazy cuz he was so happy when he learned how to fly da helicopter i gave him and prayed to god for a nice day so we can go fly da choppers for da kids i luv ya such a good man foreal
