Part Of Rt. 9 Down To One Lane; Police Ask Pedestrians To Follow Traffic Signs

PHOTO: Police are asking pedestrians and motorists to use caution at the intersection of Route 9 and 7th Street, as one northbound lane is closed for traffic and the sidewalk closed to pedestrians.

Police say pedestrians are ignoring the signs and are walking around the construction equipment and into the roadway.

The road job is expected to be completed at about 5 PM.

Good thing police are asking motorists to use caution at this particular intersection. Thankfully the other intersections on Route 9 are completely safe under normal conditions.

#1 If u r referring to the bridge repair on Brook Rd. I’m not surprised that people r ignoring the signs, nobody can believe that it takes so long to repair a bridge. They think someone forgot to take the sign away.
