Part Of Route 9 Shut After Vehicle Overturns, Takes Out Pole

PHOTO: Route 9 between Oak Street and Finchley Boulevard is closed after a vehicle struck a utility pole and then overturned, as earlier reported on our News Alerts.

The single vehicle crash occurred at about 2 PM in front of the Chateau Grand.

A Lakewood First Aid member just blocks away when the accident happened, rushed to the scene to find two occupants trapped in the car.

The LFA member busted the car’s windows, freeing the occupants. They were miraculously unharmed.

Hatzolah also responded to the scene.

Police have shut the chunk of the State road as Verizon and JCP&L personnel repair the downed pole. TLS-89/TLS-46/TLS-JG/PHOTO: TLS-04/TLS-CCP.
