Part of GCU evacuated due to suspicious package

Part of the Georgian Court University has been evacuated and on lockdown due to a suspicious package, officials confirm to TLS.

Authorities were summoned to the University around 8:35 AM. The package was reportedly located in the vicinity of Mercedes Hall.

The Lakewood Fire Department and EMS are on scene as they await the arrival of a K-9 unit.
