Men and women from throughout the Lakewood community flocked to the Esther Gerber Auditorium Wednesday evening for a special Parnassah Expo open house. The historic Parnassah Expo is now mere weeks away and booths are now being reserved at a record pace. (The expo will be held on February 12th at the Meadowlands Exposition Center from noon through 8:00 pm.)
Lakewood residents eager to learn more about the event received information describing all the myriad expo sections, including extensive business-to-business networking for all industries, a job fair, academic and vocational training programs, investment capital service, information on opportunities in various out-of-town communities, professional business and career seminars, and government/organizational social services.
A video presentation of Rabbi Dovid Weinberger, shlit”a, Rabbi Eytan Feiner, shlit”a, and Rabbi Aaron Kotler, was shown, where these noted community leaders praise the expo’s concept of uniting a diverse cross section of North American Jewry in the mission to help feed our families and its potential for success, b’ezras Hashem. Parnassah Expo founder and director Reb Duvi Honig and activist Reb Peretz Eichler fielded audience questions about event details and the opportunities it offers to every attendee.
A 5% discount was offered to those who reserved booths at the open house and the reservations table at the back of the auditorium can be seen bustling with activity following the presentation. “Our organization has, baruch Hashem, become a force throughout the continent,” Reb Duvi tells TLS, “but my home community of Lakewood, where the organization began, occupies a special place in my heart.”
