Parents Of Yosef Meir Berger Z’L Encourage Community To Attend Bikur Cholim Dinner

The following letter was submitted to TLS by Reb Ezra Berger, father of Yosef Meir Z’L. Tonight Bikur Cholim is making their annual dinner. There is no way we can thank them for all they have done for use while our son Yosef Meir zl was hospitalized.

The one thing we can do is to encourage everyone to attend and contribute generously.

I would like to Bentch everyone that they should never require their services unless it’s for a happy occasion. But you cannot comprehend what it means to have Bikur Cholim there for you when you need them most.

Thank you.

  1. I Heard from R Ezra Shlita this morning of his hakoroas hatov to Bikur Cholim and his wish that a letter be read at the event.

  2. As a volunteer for Bikur Cholim I never imagined that the roles would be turned and i would need to come to Bikyr Cholim services.

R Kazirer is a special person as well as Chaim Shalom Judkanski, Moshe Geller and all the volunters

Let me tell you, its easier to give and much harder to take- especially from an organization that i am/was part of.

Its been a few years since i have been able to be active as i was.

I urge all of you to please support bikur cholim. Be there tonight.

Call up to volunter, to help, to donate. If you see a service missing- than roll up your sleves and reach out to Bikur cholim and join them in helping other cholim. I did.

Trust me. Its the most rewarding thing in the world. I miss the opportunities i had to help others. It will make you feel like a million dollars.

  3. As a volunteer for BC, I was actually NOT planning on going to the dinner, I do enough for them during the year. Ezra, I came, just for u. although I wish I coulda done more for you guys, I’m forever grateful I got to spend one night w/ CYM, z”l. May u find a nechamah somehow, someway & may the huge attendance @ the dinner be a z’chus for CYM. Dudi
