Pair From Monroe Protest On Forest Avenue

protest on forest avenueVIDEO: As if Lakewood doesn’t have its own share of politics, a pair from Monroe decided to bring their politics to Forest Avenue yesterday afternoon by protesting a Rav’s actions and ruling, which they obviously did not agree with. Why Lakewood? Your guess is as good as ours. But apparently, there weren’t too many interested in the protest – even with their mega-phones.

(The video was purposely not zoomed in on their signs).

  1. It’s obvious, in monroe these leidigeiers get no more ears anymore, most folks are just fed up with these hatemongers, so they try lakewood. But thank hashem that lakewood is above this , and they went home with less then they came , no one gave a hood. Kol hakoved ir hatora lakewood

  2. I happened to walk by and observe the protest, and I read the litrature they handed out as well, but I don`t understand, why you are making litzunis of such a serious issue.

  3. My chavruse told me it was against (moderated) doing pusile gitin [divorce] gitin kfiyin, forcing man to give a get against the halacha, its definitely worth to look into it

  4. What happened to Yiras Chachamim? Do these people think that if they protest, the rav will change his ruling? Torah is Torah. We don’t change it to accomodate any individual. If they have a problem, they can go to a conservative or reform rabbi, and maybe he’ll be happy to bend the rules for them.
