Ocean County has started working to overhaul the intersection of Cedarbridge Avenue and Oberlin Avenue.

The construction company today, along with Traffic Safety Ptl. Alex Guzman, met with property owners in the area to discuss the plans and the traffic detours.

The overhaul will include road widening and traffic signal upgrades among other improvements.

Work is expected to last into December, 2019.

    • Please don’t be so racist . this is the Lakewood scoop . not for just one religion ,. this type of separation is what causes a racial divide in our great town . we are Lakewood. not Jewish not christen , we are humans .

  1. I am amazed how much attention this intersection is getting. You would think it’s the major issue in Lakewood. In reality, it’s barely used. What a waste of 750,000.

    • My Business is in that area and i pass by that intersection many times during the day . It is absolutely most probably the most dangerous intersection in town .
My wife was involved in a serious accident at that intersection which our car was totalled .
I myself see almost every single day an accident at that intersection and im sure if you’d speak with the police department that can fill you in more .

THUMBS UP TO WHOEVER WAS INVOLVED IN GETTING THIS PROJECT APPROVED !!!!
