[MORE STORM PHOTOS] The storm passes, but now residents are left to deal with the aftermath with left record power outages and flooding. Lakewood residents this morning continue to dig out of the Hurricane which left hundreds of thousands in NJ alone without electricity. In Lakewood, JCP&L is reporting about 5,500 without power.
There’s no word yet of when power will be retsored. Photos: Crystal Photography. (See other storm photos and videos in earlier posts).
Hey Dave need any help, I’m looking to make a few dollars.
JCP&L told me that there are over 23,000 customers in Lakewood without power. They are saying “many” customers will have their power restored over the next few days which has been their standard message since yesterday. Those of us who have well water are also without water until the power turns back on.
Does anyone know where we can get more info about when the power will be restored? It is getting very hard being without electricity for so long, especially not knowing when it will be fixed.

Why would you put a picture of a Yid without a yalmuka on as a headline picture??
I’m very surprised
Does anyone know how long will meat last in the freezer if I keep it closed with no electricity.
#3 Every one was told to plan for not having power for 3 to 5 days.
HAVE PATIENCE–IT WILL TAKE ANOTHER 4 DAYS
The lack of communication is inexcusable.
How ironic! IRENE Ct. Has power and Shonny does not!!!!
Jcp&l yet again shuts our power down… night number 3 without power, hundreds of little kids with no milk and essntial needs, no laundry, no AC, no hot water… And all we get is the run around the problem is a continuous issue we must deal with every time the clouds darken it almost seems like JCP&L says the heck with westgate… I was told 3 years ago that they are in middle of upgrading the grid…. BLA BLA they could care less
I’m waiting, the jcpl website says that there are 1800 lakewood residents without power I thing they are all concentrated in the central-new central area!!! Stop hanging out in wawa u guys are not heros the only reason we kiss up to you guys is because we can’t say ill switch over to another company (look at cablevisions service)
I think everyone without power needs to stop complaining, I know its hard but I’ve been there before but its not gonna get the power restored any faster. As it was mentioned earlier, everyone was warned of having no power for 5 – 7 days or longer in the event we had a power failure. We go through this everytime theere is a big storm coming and there are power outages, everybody should have taken the necessary precautions and stocked up on all of the essential supplies that would be needed in a power outage. Here’s what you should’ve done to prepare: buy bread and non refrigerated food to eat (yummy, gotta love those P&J sandwiches), buy a couple cases or jugs of water to drink, go out and get ice and keep it in your freezer then once you lose power put the ice into a cooler or coolers and place your refrigerated items in the cooler to keep them cold and keep replacing the ice as needed, keep new batteries around for flashlights, make sure you have a car charger for your cell phone, buy a generator, buy candles, fill up 1 of your tubs or your only tub with water which can be used later for the toilets so you can flush the toilets, make sure you have propane or charcoal so you can use a barbecue grill to cook.
Start preparing for the winter storms now, go out and buy the items mentioned and what ever else you can think of and store them away. Don’t wait to the last minute as you normally do.
