Over 500 JCP&L customers are without power this morning.
The outages began around 5:00 AM in the area of East 5th Street, Negba Street, and Ridge Avenue.
The company did not list a cause, but says electricity is expected to be restored by 7 PM today.
And there will be plenty more outages in Lakewood. They keep building and building, which requires much more electricity. The wires can only carry a certain amount of current (electricity) before they start to overheat and break. And likewise for the transformers up on the poles. You want less power outages – then stop the building!!!!
Maybe a solution is solar… You’re supposed to save at least 1/3 of your bill – maybe even more.
