[PHOTOS–LIST OF WINNERS] SCHI, the School for Children with Hidden Intelligence, held its annual Chinese Auction on Wednesday night at the SCHI campus. The event, SCHI says, was a tremendous success, with over 1,200 women attending. The evening featured a speech by Mrs. Rivky Berger, mother of a SCHI student, a slideshow, and a presentation by comedian Leah Forster.
The event helped to raise funds for the SCHI summer camp.
I’m posing this question (not only regarding SCHI but) in general terms. When there is an outdoor event taking place for woman and they hire entertainers for the crowd that are singing over a load speaker system, don’t you think they should consult with the local poskim as to whether there is a issue with kol e-sha?
Nu, Lemaaseh how many Chinese were won?
Was there and the entertainment was great, to all the men that are concerned with kol e-sha, close the windows to your home and spend time with your own wife!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
You seem very pious and holly, what R U doing on the Internet. You are sending a message that you can be holy and on the net at the same time.
I was actuly trying to learn with my 12 year old son and he asked me the question that i had a hard time answearing. I think we can expect better here in Lakewood.
maybe it was out of earshot unless you davka went to hear.? and if you did go ,then you have other issues which you better fix soon.
to #1:
why do U automatically assume they DIDNT consult anyone??? BTW THEY DID!!
To #1
Why don’t u ask a rav if u may call the cops to complain about the noise ? Perhaps u caused a loss to this Hieleger mosad?
So go learn in a shul
Or turn on your own music to drown out the noise, but don’t interfere with a tzedakah function!!
Shame on you
If you are so sure that they did then tell us who told them it is OK !?!?!
