[VIDEO OF TRANSFORMER EXPLOSION] Over 1,000 in the Raintree, Villas, East Kennedy and surrounding areas have lost power due to a transformer fire and live downed wires on County Line Road, as first reported on our News Alerts.
The live wires are down on County Line Road between Brook Road and Ridge Avenue, and police have shut down that part of County Line Rd as they await the arrival of JCPL.
There’s no word yet on when power will be restored.

Is this America?? I feel like I’m living in a third world country! I mean seriously, can’t the electric company’s get their act together already?!
Raintree still out
Power still out.
Btw why do they replace rotting wooden pole with another wood pole? Wouldn’t it make sense to replace with something more durable like metal or composite material ?
Power is not back in raintree
Who is back on? Cuz raintree still out
If someone didn’t take out the pole you wouldn’t have lost electricity
houses by holy family are still out…
My house of holy still out.
The out of state electric co’s all said our grid is a joke.
Does Westgate have power ?
Hey, you think those few drops of rain did it? Every time it rains somehting goes wrong with the phones or electricity. We’re literally going back to the dark ages, folks!
RAIN TREE IS ON!!!
Saw multiple Shomrim units patrolling the blacked out neighborhoods. THANK YOU!!!!
They gotta slowly start putting the lines underground. Some cities have that already. Eventually, it’ll cheaper to do that then to send out crew yeder muntig ihn duhnershig. If u know what I mean.
I also had heard that the out of state power companies had some problems working on our power because what we have is so old they have heard about it but never saw equipment so out dated.
