PHOTOS & VIDEO: 1,200 children this afternoon took part in a Hachnosas Sefer Torah at the new Lakewood Cheder building on Vassar Avenue. The event celebrated the opening of the new 218,000 square foot warehouse-turned school, which is now home to one of the first – and largest – school in Lakewood.
The 218,000 square foot building purchased for about $6,000,000 and situated on 13 acres in Industrial Park, houses all classes from Primary through 8th grade as well as a Bais Medrash and a gym.
The event, attended by many Rabbonim and officials, took place inside the school due to the rain.
Music was provided by Yehoshua Ausfresser.

Please get the facts. Only 2 grades have moved in to a 30,000 square foot section that has been finished for the 390 7th and 8th graders. The rest of the project is still in the dreaming/planning stages.
to num 7, you must be a parent in …… ….., and you cant stomach the fact that the cheder now has the most gorgous building in the world!! but dont worry every time you pick up your child from school you can stop by to take a look.
To # 7
The next phase is not in the dreaming phase .The plan to be in by next Sept. They need everyones help.
The building is absolutely beautiful. Even if you are not a parent in the school, it is worthwhile to go look at it. Much Hatzlacha.
To #9. I guess you’re right. It’s mommish no big deal. Just get all 1500 parents to just give 6000$ each, and the building will be done by Sept ’12. I stand corrected. (And until then…. Dream on)
Thank you rabbi posen!!!!
