[VIDEO] Over 1,000 men and women attended the Levaya this afternoon of one of the first Hatzolah members of Lakewood, R’ Dovid (Dave) Levine Z’L. The Levaya, which took place at the Yeshivah, lasted about 45 minutes due to the fact that no Hespeidim are given during the month of Nissan.
The crowd was Melaveh the Aron down Forest Avenue to this W. Kennedy 
home, where the Aron passed before making its way to Eretz Yisroel for Kevurah.
Shivah will be taking place at the family’s home, 952 West kennedy Blvd. Exact times will be posted when available.
This should be a kaparoh for all of klal yisroel and Harav Dovid ZTZ”L should be meletz yosher for his family and all of klal yisroel. We all hakoras hatov to him and all of the wonderful people of hatzala
As the R”Y said, R’ Dovid was mamesh a korban for the klal. He had ALS for opver 10 yrs. The last few yrs, he mamesh codnt move a muscle. We can’t even imagine the tzar he must’ve gone through. Shockingly, his family went about their lives mamesh Kofer Hakol, K’loi Huyuh. They made his a shul, they had mesibos purim, sukkos, channukah etc w/ singing & dancing. I had the z’chus of doing some (cleanup/demo) work when they fixed up the shul. The Simchas Hachaim in the house, in the face of such a tragedy, was THE most powerful mussar shmuz I ever got or ever hope to get in my life. May the niftar, with his enourmous amount of zechusim, be a mailitz yosher for the family bifrat & Toshvei Lkwd & all of klal yisroel Bichlal.
