Out-of-Town Bachur Learning in Lakewood Found Wandering Street, Not Remembering the Location of His Yeshiva or Dorm

An out-of-town Bachur is lucky to be safely back in his dorm after getting lost in Lakewood early this morning.

At around 1:30 AM this morning, a resident was driving in the area of 7th Street and Monmouth Avenue when he found a Bachur standing in the middle of the street, seeming to be lost.

The resident stopped his vehicle and asked the Bachur if everything was okay, to which he responded he was from out of the Country, and had arrived a couple of days ago to learn in Lakewood, and he could not remember where his Yeshiva or dorm were located.

The Bachur gave the resident a name of a Yeshiva, but he never heard of it. He called a friend, as well as Hatzolah – who also did not recognize the name, so together they drove around the area, hoping the Bachur would recognize the Yeshiva building or street.

After about an hour of driving around, going from Yeshiva to Yeshiva, the Bachur finally spotted his Yeshiva, but still didn’t know where his dorm was.

The group looked through Sefarim in Yeshiva to try and find a name and phone number to one of the Bachurim who could perhaps help them.

While in the Yeshiva, one of the people searching remembered from an earlier incident that there was a dorm in the area. They drove there, and indeed, it turned out to be the Bachur’s dorm.

“Sometimes boys come from out of the Country and they’re completely lost,” said the resident who initially located the Bachur. “It was Hashgacha Pratis I was driving in the area at that precise moment, and I’m just glad he got back safely.”
