OU’s Teach Coalition arranges for Covid vaccines for Nonpublic School Teachers, Rebbeim

See the letter issued below.

I am pleased to share that New Jersey teachers and day care workers are now eligible for the COVID-19 vaccine in the stateimmediately, marking a change from a previous announcement.

Department of Health spokesman Dawn Thomas confirmed Friday that Pre-K to 12 educators and staff are “currently eligible,” for the vaccine. “Answering the call from the Biden Administration, educators, including support staff, in pre-K through 12th grade, and childcare workers in licensed and registered settings, are now eligible ahead of March 15,” Thomas said.

As shared on Friday, Holy Name Hospital, in partnership with the Township of Teaneck at the Rodda Center, has agreed to hold a “nonpublic school teacher vaccination day” on a Sunday, so as not to interfere with school schedules. There will also be a public school vaccination day on a separate date. The vaccination date has not yet been confirmed, but will be shortly.

Any nonpublic school teacher (or school support staff) who is interested in getting vaccinated on the Nonpublic School Vaccination Day should do the following two things:

  1. Sign up on the Rodda Center portal at:https://vaccine.holyname.org/COVID19VAC
  2. Fill out this form

Please note that both steps are critical to ensure that every teacher will be prioritized for the teacher vaccination day and not put in the general vaccination queue.

  1. People are getting heart attacks, strokes and cardiac arrest from the vaccine. Far more have nothing more than a headache or flu stymptoms, but the risk exists and long term effects are an even greater concern. Look up ADE as an effect of the vaccine.

    • Stop the fearmongering and the spreading of lies.

Millions upon millions of people have been safely vaccinated worldwide with no issue.

To quote R. Asher Weiss, if thousands of Yidden go to mikvah Erev Shabbos and 3 or 4 die the following week does not mean that the mikvah killed them.

Same here. People get heart attacks all time. If millions get vaccinated you would think that some would get heart attacks just because people get heart attacks.

Get vaccinated so that we can get this pandemic behind us. Don’t do it only for yourself. Do it for your fellow man!

      • I like you mikveh analogy, but somehow that didn’t work for Covid. If someone died of heart attack, stroke, accident, miscarriage etc & there was covid in their town – their death certificate says covid.

So I don’t see anything wrong with people being fearful after a rushed through vaccine that didn’t undergo proper research is being blamed after numerous complaints that people died within 24-48 hours of taking it.

Is it possible that they would’ve had that heart attack/stroke etc anyhow? Absolutely!
Is it possible that they would not have had it?
        Possibly!

Everyone needs to weigh their personal risk factors of getting Covid vs taking the shot & no – they should not take it for their fellow man if it means possibly putting themselves at risk.

If you make an investment, you weigh the cost/benefit of the deal. Don’t treat your health any different.

        • It is not my analogy. It is R. Asher Weiss’s.

Your comparison to listing of COVID as cause of death is irrelevant to my point.

My point is just that if a million people get the shot in the USA each day, and a handful have a heart attack, it is not statistically significant. There percentage is so slim, but more important it is unlikely that the heart attack was caused by the vaccine because people have heart attacks all the time. There is no cause and effect.

The rush to get this out there, was because of the critical nature of the health crisis. There is no evidence that corners were cut. At this point millions have been inoculated with no statistically significant side effects aside from occasional viral symptoms.

Besides, the risk of getting the virus and getting sick from it is far greater a risk than the one posed by the vaccine.
