Ottimo Cafe – an all-dairy restaurant, will be opening its doors this week. The cafe, located in the Grebow Shopping Center, boasts two large dining rooms – a main dining area, as well as a secluded party room which seats 75. The chef, Jason Cappetta, a graduate of the prestigious Johnson & Wales University College of Culinary Arts, will bring a fresh and modern approach to classic Italian and American cuisine.
You can join Ottimo in an all-day celebration of their opening day, this Wednesday, December 14th.
An all-you-can-eat buffet lunch – which includes an array of pastas, paninis, salads, pizzas, and desserts – will be prepared for patrons between the hours of 11am and 2pm.
Dinner will be served as a prix fixe meal. Seating, by reservation, will take place between 7:30 and 8pm. Please email [email protected] to reserve your seat.

um hello? can u plz post an address?
I wish you much luck. I am curious though, do formal restaurants like this do well in Lakewood? I see mostly fast food, pizza joints, and when the occasional fancy place opens, it usually does not last long
Is the lunch Buffet a No Charge [ FREE] Thanks
Good luck. If you want everyone to come to grandopening. Make everything delicious and FREE 🙂
Who gives the hashgacha?
Where is the grenow shopping center
Lots of Mazel and Hatzlacha. Cant wait…..
Is this a kosher establishment?just kidding. May you have much hatzlacha!
no Hashgocho info
Good Luck!
Lakewood could use an upscale dairy restaurant.
Is it kosher? Under whose hashgocho? Why do we need another eating establishment here in Lakewood?
Who is the Rav Hamachshir?
Grebow Shopping Center
6792 U.S. 9 S Howell, NJ 07731
Same mall as (Confection Collection)
From Lakewood take the Alexander Ave. jug handle
It’s in Grebow, which is the first jughandle out of Lakewood – where Hershy’s Bakery, Benneton, Closeout Connection etc are located.
Restaurant is under KCL
is it near taste buds?
Ottimo “ROCKS”. This place is FANTASTIC!
I wish the owner well but I ask in all seriousnes is this what Lakewood needs right now? With so much tzoros that our kehila is going through shouldn’t we put our focus on how we can learn more in our spare time or do more to help so many of our fellow yidden who cannot put food on the table. Who can justify wasting two + hours sitting eating out in an establishment just because Jason Cappetta made you his style omlet or the salad with his new twist. I am not saying that there is never a time that couples need to go out to eat, but it has become such a routine in this town thay people are always eating out and the establishments are always full. Rabboisai- we are going to have to give a din v’cheshbon for all those nights sitting in restaurants instead of sitting in Bais Hamedrash. Not to mention all the other issurim that COULD come up going to restaurants. And in case you are wondering no! I dont go to restaurants and I can’t remember the last time I went out to eat as my wife prefers that I go and learn at night.
Oh wow another restaurant!!
#21- dont impose your way of life on others.
Its none of your business and you have no idea whats going on by yenem.
Mi keamcha yisroel!
number 21 i dont know what cool masmid is but there is nothing wrong with enjoying a night out. If it is a problem for you then please dont go-why do people always have to make issues in this town. Tastebuds did very well however it had to close down. There is a need for a nice milchig restaurant. And if any of you have a problem with that I would tell you to please stop wasting your time on the internet!! and go learn!!!!!!!! (oh thats right, the internet is used privately in your home but the restaurant people might see you)
another thing to 21, maybe your wife doesnt enjoy going out with you to restaurants however most wives do enjoy, guess it shows something on you
21 let’s hear about these other issurim (or is it OTHER issurim). Is posting on the scoop one of them?
#21 Worried about wasting time? Of course, the longest comment on the thread!
why are people toying with others ‘ parnassa. just fargin and wish the guy much brocha and hatzlacha, the same that you would wish for when you open a new business!
its a free country!! if you wanna eat, GO! if not, DONT!!!!
“Cool Masmid”
Hearty-Har-Har! This guy is lecturing us with such a title!
Hey, ding-dong, you know what I am going to do for those “wasted two hours”? Take out my wife for her birthday or our anniversary instead of shlepping to Deal! What do YOU do on her birthday; bring her to the Bais Medrash and study with her? With a name like “Cool Masmid” you probably do.
Get off my phone, you big dope!
What does “oy, we need Moshiach” have to do with a restaurant?? I’m even willing to bet that in the time of Moshiach there will be places to go out with spouses or friends for relaxation and pleasure, too – LIGHTEN UP, LAKEWOOD!!
B’H ANOTHER restaurant!! May we have many more in lakewood!!
#21 Im sure thats not the only shalom bayis problem you have.
I dont understand why people care if a new restaurant opens. Zumba classes is one thing ok…but to make a negative comment about a new restaurant??!!! Where is everyone’s seichel???!! I never saw such negative people in my life. Please tell me you sit and learn all day and only eat bread and drink water and nothing else. What is wrong with these people???!
who did the lighting ? thats all i see in the pict !
Thaler Electric. Good job!
I was looking forward to a good cheap eatery while I go shopping there, Close-out Connection, etc. Now, at $ 20.00 for a grand openiong sample try-out, I can just imagine how much the regular prices will be. No thank you. Not for us Lakewood Kollel families.
Ottimo ? Vus iz taitsch ? Ultimo makes sense, mut Ottimo ???
Don’t take my husband’s comments to heart. He is a great husband and the only reason we don’t get to go out to eat is because after a hard day at work he likes to go to learn and I am all for it. He is all for eating in/eating out and having a good time. He works a lot on the computer and at times needs a little outlet ands so he likes to have his little say, so please go easy on him.
#21…Considering that you posted it at 1:27PM, vuss iz gevein mit first seder?
Im going to be Dan Likav Zchus that you’re in the Purim spirit already, hence the litzanos…… If not, please make an immediate appointment for counseling!
On A Code 1!
Thanks for wishing us all the best of luck! looking forward to seeing ALL of you! Ottimo is an Italian word and it means the best
“Ottimo” means EXCELLENT in Italian.
The pronounciation is on the (first) “O”. Oh’timmo (not Oti’mmo)
how much is the buffet?
#21
Do you realize how many brochos are said every day as a result of all these restaurants? Rishonos and achronos- its in the thousands!
Its mamesh a mitzvah!
Not only that, but the restaurant gets schar too for giving such an opportunity to the community!!!
Has anyone been there today yet? How is the food? The service?
I was there today. Food was good and service was good
Anon, all you can say about the food and service is GOOD?? That word sounds very convincing…
and just to get something clear here how on earth did an article about something as simple as a new cafe opening escalate to an argument like this? WHAT HAS THE WORLD COME TO????
haha! i love the lakewood scoop! these comments are awesome! i cant stop laughing!!! =D
This resturant is beautiful, does anyone know who designed it????
