Ostreicher Hearing Underway; First of 27 Hearings Carried Through

Fitted with a bulletproof, Jacob Ostreicher is finally getting heard in a Bolivian Court this morning. As earlier reported, this is the first hearing since the high-profile arrests which came in recent weeks, and the first hearing being carried out after 27 cancelled hearings.

Officials are hoping the recent high-profile arrests in connection with Ostreicher’s incarceration, will finally shed light into his innocence and secure his release.

Ostreicher has sat without formal charges for over 18 months – longer than even the Bolivian law allows.
