Opportunity Scholarship Act Passes NJ Senate Budget Committee

josh pruzansky rallyJUST IN: The New Jersey State Senate Budget Committee has just passed the Opportunity Scholarship Act by an 8-5 vote. Josh Pruzansky, Executive Director of Agudath Israel of New Jersey, expressed his gratitude to the committee. “It has been almost two and a half years since we have begun testifying before the Senate Budget Committee, and it is absolutely historic that this Bill has finally passed” he said.

The OSA now heads to the full Senate floor for passage, and in the interim will hopefully be proceeding in the Assembly as well.

The OSA will provide Corporate Tax Scholarships for children residing in 13 failing school districts including, Lakewood, Passaic and Elizabeth. TLS.

  1. Thanks you Aguda for always being there for us & for helping to make our lives financially easier, physically safer, & spiritually better, among many other things. May you have the strength & influence to continue to do so!

One request I do have is that Aguda try to recruit the younger generation of Lakewooders. It does not seem to me that there is any campaign by Aguda to try & get the “next generation” to join the ranks. I believe there could be a strong presence in Lakewood if Aguda tried to recruit.
