Sad, but true.
In previous emails, “journalists” from the Star Ledger tried to defend you guys that you are not anti-Semitic etc. I will once again show you how a simple Google search will prove that your news agency is anti-Semitic, and employ terrible “journalists” and serial liars.
This morning you posted the following story, http://www.nj.com/opinion/index.ssf/2017/07/lakewoods_lesson_on_democracy_dont_waste_your_vote.html#incart_river_home
Let’s compare what you wrote to the facts.
“I saw that power on display last summer when the state Senate passed a bill sending almost $6.6 million in aid over three years to bus Lakewood kids to religious schools that are segregated by sex.”
http://www.njleg.state.nj.us/2016/Bills/S2500/2049_I1.HTM
#1 As the bill clearly said, it just redirects the money required by the state for mandatory busing to a new consortium. Not an extra penny for busing.
#2 You conveniently leave out how Lakewood Township gave over ONE MILLION dollars for Public School courtesy busing while courtesy busing was DISCONTINUED by the Board Of Education for PRIVATE schools.
#3 The buses are not segregated by sex, they are “segregated” by schools. Big difference. Majority of buses run full so it’s no extra expense at all.
“The Vaad didn’t like Booker’s liberal positions on such issues as same-sex marriage, so they backed Lonegan. He carried Lakewood by more than 5,000 votes. One voting district went for him by an amazing 413-2 margin”
Is that true??
While I do not know who the Vaad endorsed in the special elections they did endorse Booker in the primary, so they couldn’t of disliked him that much. https://thelakewoodscoop.com/2013/08/lakewood-vaad-endorses-cory-booker-to-fill-lautenbergs-seat.html
And if so, so what??
“The next year, however, Lonegan failed to get the endorsement when he sought the Republican nomination for Congress in the 3rd District, which includes Lakewood.”
It does?? No it does not! check your facts!!!
If you would do basic research as a “journalist”,”Columnist” or any writer for that matter would do, you would see most of what you write is factually incorrect. In fact, you quote a politician who say that “you don’t have to knock on a single door to get those votes. You don’t have to take out advertisements and you don’t have to send out mailers.”
That is a lie. In fact, in the most recent election, the Vaad spent tens of thousands of dollars in outreach, and yet still lost many districts in Lakewood and if not for the seniors voting for the same candidates as the Vaad endorsed, their candidates would probably not have been victorious.
That is just some examples (Corzine vs Christe yet another example) that “Once the Vaad decides, the registered voters in the Orthodox community do as they say,” is not true.
So now that we got your “facts” out of the way, let’s focus on a simple question. Why is the Vaad endorsement different than any political party or union endorsement?? Are they the only bloc vote in the United State? What the point of the article? To stir up hate? Bias?
Is it because they are Jewish?
One has to wonder…..
Of course you start with the best line, “The arrests came as a shock to a lot of politicians, but not because the conduct itself was surprising. It was because the community has so much clout with politicians that many had come to believe its members were above the law.”
SERIOUSLY???
SHAME ON YOU!

A thousand cheers for this article! Now the whole thing has to be posted on NJ.com . They probably won’t do it willingly, but they should legally be forced to.
When is everyone going to stop crying about Anti Semitism. It is a problem that will always exist and the more we do to try to stop it, the worse it will get. If we all concentrated on interacting with everyone with Derech Eretz and representing ourselves and our community correctly we will be in a much better position.
when the media fans the flames of anti-semitism by making the jewish community out to be one big organized mafia out to squeeze everybody else(shades of the protocols of the elders),they must be called upon.
How about we all stop blaming the news etc and we do teshuva…..
Yungerman if someone is an anti Semite yes let it go. But we can not have the media stir up hate.
Barack Hussein Obama along with his liberal friends made the media so powerful that President Trump has to clean up the mess he left us with. That is why he is using Twitter. Because he doesn’t trust the media to report about him. Do you blame him? This is precisely why he calls it #VERY FAKE NEWS. Having said that what do you expect from the Jew hating APP? They had 8 years with a free pass to lie to the American people. My message to “THIS” MEDIA OUTLET (APP) AND THE REST OF THE JEW HATING MEDIA. THE GAME IS OVER. You are all being exposed for who you are.
Great Article. Thanx. The Star Ledger’s behavior is horrible, but, really not surprising. They’re left-leaning liberals. Truthfully, they ARE fake news.
Anti Semitism is a fact of life. If someone hates Jews he doesn’t need an excuse to hate them. We can be perfectly honest, exemplary citizens and they will still hate us. We cannot change that. What we can and should do, is live the way Hashem wants us to, with good middos and Ahavas Yisroel, making a Kiddush Hashem where ever we go and hope that will bring Moshiach b’karov.
Eisav sonah Es Yaakov. That is how it is anti Semitism is how it is and is how it always will be. That is how Hashem made it. It is a reminder that we are in golus. Our job is to be an oveid Hashem and try to do the ratzon Hashem and leave the rest in Hashems hands. We can not change anti semitism. There will always be anti semites in the world. We just have to work on ourselves and changing ourselves. During this time of year we should focus on the fact that Hashem has no home and that we are in golus and we should try and daven for the geula and do teshuva I in order to bring the geula.
