Kamala Harris famously declared that “what happens in Virginia will in large part determine what happens in 2022, 2024 and on.” Republicans are happy to agree that the Grand Old Party achieved victory on November 4th in VA and in truth throughout much of the Country. What are some lessons that can be learned from this victory?

For one, despite the ramblings of establishment globalist Republicans and Democrats the culture wars remain vital to much of the Country. Running against Critical Race Theory and Political Correctness was key to the Virginia victory. Republicans should rail against political correctness and liberal indoctrination in schools. This is a winning issue and one which has galvanized the country. The left largely believes the public school teachers and University professors are wiser than children’s own parents. They ran on this fallacy and they lost. The derision with which the left regards everyday citizens has been repudiated at the polls. Terry McAuliffe declared “I don’t think parents should be telling schools what they should teach.” The parents had the final say.

The Right should run on this standing for parental involvement in education. This will serve as a major contrast with the statist approach of the woke left. Indeed some younger Republicans are running on these principles such as JD Vance in Ohio. As Mr.Vance has articulated “CRT(Critical Race Theory) is ‘ absolutely’ an issue in Ohio: ‘People are really worried about their kids’ “People are really worried about their kids not getting an education at school but basically being indoctrinated at their country at school,” Vance told Fox News on Tuesday. “So I think critical race theory is a very big issue nationwide, certainly in the state of Ohio. This victory showed that focusing on Social issues and family values are a key to winning. The GOP should not embrace the immorality of the Left but rather continue to stand for law and order and the sanctity of life as well as traditional family values. The GOP should listen to and reflect it’s base instead of being the party of Wall Street being the party of Main Street.The left has and will continue to fight culture wars to undermine traditional values,law and order and Western Civilization. The right must engage in the culture wars and win not by becoming the left but by standing strong and by doing this will win more victories at the ballet and will not compromise its principals.
