Opinion: Flight attendants should wear bodycams

Dear Editors,

I was traveling last week, and in the seat of front of me an argument broke between a passenger and the flight attendant.

Ultimately, the flight attendant told the passenger that if she did not comply, she would land the plane and have her removed from the flight.
As the argument heated up, a number of passengers began recording the interaction.
Which got me thinking, why are flight attendants not required to wear bodycams? And why are there no surveillance cameras in planes?
This is federal territory, and a charge against a passenger can be very serious (or at least result in a ban of flying on the specific airline).
In situations such as these, there’s little chance law enforcement will take a customer’s word over a flight attendant’s, which could result in serious injustice being done. That is why bodycams were instituted to begin with, and I’m sure has vindicated many as a result.
I’m curious to hear other readers’ opinion about this.
A frequent flyer.

  1. Why only flight attendants?
Why not every employee that interacts with customers?
I was at the coffee shop getting an extra foam, extra hot, half caf, no whip, soy latte & noticed the Non-Jewish customer right before me received a lot more foam than I did.
If the barista had been wearing a body cam I would’ve been able to have a major Antisemitism lawsuit.

  2. A major problem is that the flight attendants have begun to think they are God and nothing less. In the meantime so many of them have turned into obnoxious brats that should have no job where interaction with the public is necessary.

    • I did order extra foam but the “Nisht fun unzera” received a lot more. I couldn’t tell if he was a Yid or just pretending to be one (Kippa Seruga that a quarter would’ve covered more of his head, a YU t-shirt, the biggest oxymoron, & Ticheles tsitsit which goes against our Mesorah & Minhag & has no basis in Torah or Halacha except among the Reformers.)
The straw that broke the camels back was when he ordered low-fat milk. I told him the milk was Treif & he said & I quote, “I don’t keep Cholov Yisroel.”
My response was, “& I don’t keep not eating Chazer!”
This got me thinking, when Missionaries are in the neighborhood it’s reported to warn people. So how come when “Modernisha” (modern & Orthodox, how can that even be a thing?) enter our machane we don’t do the same?
