Open Letter From Sister Of Dovid Robbins Z’L

Dear Friends of Dovid, ZT”L. I am so overwhelmed by the outpouring of beautiful sentiments that have been written to my beloved brother, Dovid, ZT”L. I wish we had spent more time together. Dovid accomplished so much, although he didn’t get married, he did everything, went to Eretz Yisroel and raised funds for so many needy people. One of the pictures he left me was a plaque from The Chush Yeshiva for raising over 12 thousand dollars for a needy family.

I am grateful that I met so many of his friends during the shiva, and that they filled me in on how he spent his Shabbosim and Yomim Tovim, making others happy.

My mother always called him”king David.” He was a miracle baby and the son my parents waited for. They did everything to make him feel special, gave him a lot of love, attention and indulged in his musical interests.
I credit my mother so much for instilling the love of Yiddishkeit, as she was our Rock of Gibralter, and never flinched in the many hard times we all faced as a family. My mother’s Yahrzeit is also in Shevat, and I pray that her Neshama have an aliyah for being such a strong Jewish woman who made us who we are as people. Please have Chava Bas Michal in mind 23 Shevat.

Thank you all for sharing.

Sincerely,
Beth Stein
