Open Letter: Clarifying Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr.’s Commitment to Protecting Circumcision and Friendship with the Jewish Community | OJC

The Orthodox Jewish Chamber of Commerce has issued an official open letter addressing recent misinformation and politically motivated misinterpretations regarding comments attributed to Health Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr.

The Chamber’s Founder and CEO, Duvi Honig, clarified that Secretary Kennedy has never attacked, criticized, or suggested any restriction on circumcision or Jewish religious practice, and reaffirmed his longstanding friendship and partnership with the Jewish community.

“I personally spoke with Secretary Kennedy following the recent uproar,” said Duvi Honig, Founder and CEO of the Orthodox Jewish Chamber of Commerce. “He reassured me directly — confirming what I already knew — that the reports suggesting he linked circumcision to autism are completely false and taken out of context. At no time whatsoever did he intend to attack or even question this sacred Jewish practice.”

The Chamber’s open letter further explains that Secretary Kennedy’s original remarks referred to potential medical research involving certain medications such as Tylenol, which were misconstrued and twisted by select media outlets and political opponents to falsely suggest an attack on circumcision.

“We call out the misinterpretation of his statements and the weaponization of antisemitism for political gain,” Honig added. “False claims only divide. Secretary Kennedy has always shown friendship, respect, and understanding toward the Jewish community, and those who exploit this issue for politics undermine the real fight against antisemitism in America today.”

The Orthodox Jewish Chamber of Commerce is urging the public and media to focus on facts, not fabrications, and reminds the Jewish community that there is no threat whatsoever from Secretary Kennedy toward circumcision or any Jewish tradition.

The open letter concludes with gratitude to Secretary Kennedy for his direct communication and continued commitment to truth, safety, and unity among all faiths and communities.

RFK Jr. is a total nutty nut!

I have not read the clarification, because it was self-understood what he said.

If you listen to his comments without any bias, he clearly stated that it has to do with taking Tylenol after the BRIS, NOT WITH THE BRID ITSELF!!! IT’S A SHAME THAT A CLARIFICATION WAS NEEDED.

he also clearly stated that Covid-19 was engineered to be less harmful to both Chinese people and ashkenazi Jewish people. You don’t have to be “biased” to recognize this man as an antisemite. You have to be biased to not recognize it.

RFK Jr continually argues in bad faith. While I understand the OJC wanting to make a statement, in general, anything he says should not be considered. There is no reason to listen to any of his claims.

You didn’t even hear what RFK JR said on the subject. Nor do you care. He said absolutely nothing against Bris milah. Nor was he inflamatory against Bris milah. While there are legit issues with him, majority of what he has said should be done, he’s been correct as often as every other person in this position for decades.

I believe that many non-Jewish men in America have been circumcised. What about RFKJR?

I’m not sure how this was ever a ‘Jewish’ issue considering that a quick Google search reveals that between 60%-80% of males in the US are circumcised

Why is it that every Trump appointee becomes sacred to our community even when they are in the wrong. This man has a history of anti semitic statements. This is in addition to his absurd medical claims which aren’t backed up by scientific research or the medical community. We do have to thank him for outlawing artificial coloring in our food.
