By Moshe Gold: America has changed a lot over the past century, but the policies didn’t change that much. America’s problem is that they are afraid to learn the lessons from each terror attack – which could have prevented the next one.
Starting November 5, 1990 in the Marriot Hotel on Manhattan’s East Side, Meir Kahane was giving a speech and was shot and killed from close range by a terrorist, who was arrested that night. Outside the hotel, was a getaway driver who was waiting for the shooter to come out of the hotel, but he never emerged because he was caught and arrested, so the driver fled.
The NYPD took the shooter to a precinct, where he was interrogated, and told the NYPD where he lived. They went to his home in New Jersey the day after the shooting, and found two Muslims there – one of them the getaway driver who was waiting for the shooter. They were both arrested.
After the arrest, NYPD took out boxes of evidence to see if they could find a connection or a cause of the shooting, but the FBI was scared to declare it terrorism. So they told the NYPD to release the pair they arrested from the apartment and also to give the boxes of evidence to the FBI and being that they have the gunmen and the weapon, they should close the case. The FBI picked up the evidence and put it into one of their storage places.
Three years later, when the bombing happened at the Twin Towers, they found out the person they arrested the day after Kahane’s shooting was the same person who rented the truck with explosives and drove it into the Twin Towers. The FBI now went and opened the boxes they confiscated the night of Kahane’s shooting and translated the all-Arabic documents – which included clear diagrams and a plan to bomb the Twin Towers. So this could have all been avoided had they suspected terrorism and accused the terrorists.
Then came March 1, 1994, and a van full of Bochurim were shot on the Brooklyn Bridge by a Muslim terrorist. The FBI said then that this was a case of road rage and not related to terrorism. But then 13 years later, the murderer told investigators that the only reason he shot them were because they were Jewish. Again, the federal government was scared to declare this as a terrorist attack.
Then came 9/11, where 19 terrorists got onto planes killing thousands of innocent people. Had America learned from all previous terror attacks and agreed that all these stories were in fact terror attacks, they would have had a reason to suspect these people and could have profiled someone based on their terrorism threat level – thereby preventing them from boarding these planes.
Then came last week’s terror attacks in Boston, where two young students came to America and both defined themselves as Muslims. Their social media profiles were also full of anti-American hatred. The FBI was even alerted by Russia to look into the activities of the older brother. But again, the FBI wasn’t able to find anything and granted this terrorist US citizenship on 9/11/12, and terror returned to the streets of America.
Bottom Line: If America would profile terrorists – not based on their race, but rather based on their connection to terrorists, then the right terrorist would get stopped in the airports, the right terrorists wouldn’t be able to enter the country, the right terrorists wouldn’t be able to drag more people into their web of hate, the right terrorists wouln’t be able to blow up buildings or children in our cities.
Profiling the terrorists and not being scared to state that this is terrorism, and learning lessons. would keep Americans safe.

Very well said but they won’t do much now either
The first time I finally see someone talking to the point. I would like to add that the same thing is still taking place daily in the Airports, just because someone tried blowing up a plane with a shoe bomb now everybody has to take off their shoes, just because terrorists tried blowing up planes in london with liquid bombs, now nobody is allowed to take liquid on the planes, this just shows that they are not looking for the real perpetrators they are just looking to do something that everybody should say “wow the government is protecting us”
The scoop just sent out a tweet about a levaya. I dont see any post about it. I’m trying to figure out if I know who it is. . .
America will never wake up. Because America has been taken over by progressives – those same progressive liberals who want this country to become a socialist dependent society. The progressive liberal socialists have succeeded in getting 50% plus of this country hooked on govt programs and therefore forever dependent on the democrats. Therefore the country will continue to slide into the abyss, as we act like zombies and continue to vote for our breadwinners – the democrat party.
As millions more Hispanics voters are added to the democrtat party when immigration reform is pushed down our throats, the democrat party will solidify its control of the country and then have enough congressmen to accomplish its final act before declaring total dictatorship: the confiscation of all guns.
It’s coming, and we all know it.
America will never wake up. We are addicted to our iPhones and our food stamps.
We have lost all decency as a society, and we have lost all morals. We are ready to elect another dictator.
You think I have time to worry about Muslims? You think I want to fight another war against Iran? All I want is more food stamps, a cold beer, and to get back to my iPhone to catch up on Facebook.
Good night America!
You’re missing just one point, Iran was behind all those attacks, most of which has been proven in civil court and victims hold judgments of millions of dollars against Iran
Well said! As a nation, “if we do not learn from history, we are destined to repeat it”.
When our government fails to take adequate precautions to preserve the safety of it’s citizens, it is time to replace the people that serve in the government. We need a national policy on safety and security, not this Hodgepodge of politically correct nonsense.
What will it take to bring about real change, real security, real measures to combat the enemies of America?
The answer is simple. We need to stop immigration from any and all terrorist nations. We need to secure our boarders. We need to have better, deeper, more penetrating intelligence. We need to be in front of the curve, by not allowing terrorist acts to occur, rather than being really good at reacting to terrorist events.
Bill Hobday, everything you say is correct, but Washington will never change. The Democrat party, which effectively controls Washington today and will do so for at least the next generation, has no interest in any of what you said. They are happy to allow things to continue as is.
So let us face this reality and prepare for the worst.
Oh, and when terrorism persists, and as sleeper cells begin to come out and shut down cities like Boston more and more often, we will all wish that we had guns to protect ourselves. The police alone won’t be able to do it (nor are they constitutionally required to protect us, per Supreme Court rulings).
