Op-Ed: In Israel’s Bests Interests: Netanyahu or….

By: Aaron Joseph. Who has Israel’s best interest in mind? Could it be a President of the United States who has actively courted Islamic nationalism in the United States and around the globe throughout his tenure in office? A President who from ages six to twelve lived in Jakarta, Indonesia a mostly Muslim country, and attended local Indonesian-language schools, being indoctrinated in its ways?

Writing on the Bloomberg News website, Jeffery Goldberg quoted Mr. Obama as repeatedly saying, “Israel doesn’t know what its own best interests are” in response to a spate of recent announcements for thousands of new Jewish settler homes in east Jerusalem and the West Bank on land the Palestinians want for a future state.

This is a tough one. Would it enter your mind that Mr. Obama has Mexico’s best interests in mind when he decides on immigration and drug policy. Does President Obama have France’s best interests in mind by withholding American involvement in Mali? American’s best interests in mind by creating ObamaCare when the Federal deficit is greater than the GDI? America’s Best interests by raising all our taxes to pay for G-d knows what other programs he can dream up before leaving office?

Or would that individual be the freely elected leader of Israel, who has stood firm in Israel’s defense, again, and again, and again. The most intelligent Prime-Minister Israel ever offered; a government official that all Israelis, whether at home or abroad, have full confidence in his leadership. A diplomat on the world stage who commands dignity, respect and awareness every time he speaks. A man who spent his all-important childhood in his homeland, and returned there to honorably serve in the most elite ranks of its military.

Gee, I’m somewhat confused. Can it be possible that Mr. Obama dare suggest that he understands and knows better, what is good for Israel; that he better comprehends the Middle East because of a bigger CNN screen in his Situation-Room? Can Mr. Obama have the gall to imply that he comes anywhere near the acumen and judgment of Prime Minister Netanyahu in Geo-politics, or that Mr. Obama would have a grasp of what Israeli interests truly are?

I don’t know about you, but I would be far more comfortable in the United States if Benjamin Netanyahu were to be its president. Whether Mr. Netanyahu would be a Democrat or Republican I cannot predict, but he would trounce Mr. Obama in any paired election. Honesty, resilience, discipline, PATRIOTISM, against what? Change??

Does Mr. Obama know what is in America’s best interest? Does he even know what is in his own best interest? I believe that Mr. Obama perhaps fears Prime Minister Netanyahu, as he fears truth, honesty, integrity and decisive commitment and action that come with true leadership. I’m sorry Mr. Obama, Israeli election is not won by executive order.

Benjamin Netanyahu is a proven leader with gifted leadership skills. Israel as a nation is far more respected on the world stage with Mr. Netanyahu at the helm. Israel may not fully realize how lucky they truly are to have a leader with a full scope of intelligence, capability, and experience that encompasses Mr. Netanyahu. I vote for Benjamin Netanyahu and in so doing vote for the secure future of Israel, with God’s help. An entity that Mr. Obama cannot mention without nearly choking.

As for those who suggest that Israeli’s don’t know what’s in their best interest, I have this to say- what more can you expect from someone who has a Muslim childhood, knows nothing of Israel, has not visited her once during his tenure, and plays armchair international politics from the Oval Office. It makes you wonder how he got there in the first place. It must be that many American’s don’t know what’s in their own best interests.

Fear not, 2016 is just around the corner.

  1. The leader of a nation can often act against its interest. Very rarely is American history made by personal decisions of people in a single generation. An exception was Wilson’s arrogance in dealing with Lodge and compromising with the Republicans after World War I (even though the isolationism is traced to Washington; and note, this arrogance is the difference between great and near-great President–compare to Lincoln and Washington). This was not in US interests.

On the other hand, is it rational to question whether the President of the United States loves his county, its history, its institutions, its rule of law, its constitution, and the American way? No man has risen to that great office, or can rise to that position, who has been indoctrinated to the ways of a foreign power, much less an Oriental despotism.

  2. True honest article. Perhaps a bit over the top but on the mark. Obama should resign in grace. Long live Netanyahu.

#1 Mr. A. Lang. You quite obviously do not pay attention to current events and find your own preferred comparisons. The only ones in the United States that continue to endorse Obama’s regime are those who have are foreign born. Pay attention. Mr. Obama is the least American president in its history.

  3. While Obama I believe thinks he doing what is right, He has proven by his actions and his arrogance that he can bypass the constitution ,look at the Bengazi mess ,still no answers how this really happened and who made the calls to allow these four Americans to be killed . We also have to call out the Congress on their inept ability to reslove the Debt crises
Benjamin Netanyahu is a proven leader ,its to bad we do not have a leader that has the backbone this man has to stand up for what is right and defend the basic principals that made America a world leader.
Obama care another thing rammed down the throats of Americans by Obama & Congress yet no member of congress falls under the rule of Obamacare I could go on and on ,the very scary thing is he was re elected WHY we now have so many in this country that depend soley on government to take care of them that the rest of us who are self supporting are in the minority. What is going to happen when they run out of money buy those who work and pay taxes to support those who don’t ?

  4. #2 The only other case in which a single generation changed history was perhaps when the Congress of the Confederation in 1785 by one vote did not ban slavery in the Northwest Territory. If that vote went different, the federal territories would forever have been closed.

To wit: I would not consider Polk’s insistence of war with Mexico a single decision–Manifest Destiny. McKinnley’s decision for Spanish American War?– The rise of American power was inevitable (Mahan)
Civil War– no way. Stable transition of power from Federalists to National Republicans when Jefferson was elected-that is found in the common law tradition.

Perhaps Wilson was an exception to this rule because the League of Nations was his work. American world leadership had no roots in the past but he pushed it. It was his to lose.

As for foreign born supporters of the President, if they are citizens, they can vote. But no foreign born person can become President because it is assumed that those born in this land will always owe it their loyalty.

  5. BEAUTIFULLY WRITTEN AND ARTICULATE ENDORSEMENT OF A LEADER WE ARE BLESSED TO HAVE . MAY G-D BLESS AND PROTECT THE P.M. ,ISRAEL AND THE JEWISH PEOPLE. AMERICA ONCE A GREAT NATION IS ON THE SAME PATH OF THE ROMAN EMPIRE,AND MAY G-D TOO WATCH OVER US. THERE IS NOT MUCH WE CAN DO TO CHANCE THE WINDS OF CHANGE EXCEPT BE AWARE, PROACTIVE AND CONDUCT YOURSELF IN A MANNER BEFITTING THE HUMAN RACE.
