Officials, Askonim Celebrate Groundbreaking Of Meridian Health Village In Jackson

PHOTOS: This past week, Meridian Health held its ceremonial groundbreaking for a new medical facility in Jackson Township. Dignitaries, Meridian Health leadership, and physicians spoke about the future of the 150,000 square-foot Meridian Health Village in Jackson, which will be located at the corner of Bennetts Mills Road and South Cooks Bridge Road.

“We are grateful to the leaders and citizens of Jackson Township who joined us today for their ongoing support in making the new medical facility a reality,” said John K. Lloyd, FACHE, president of Meridian Health. “When this new facility opens in the spring of 2013, it will offer residents of Jackson and the surrounding communities access to top notch care across the medical spectrum.”

Meridian Health Village at Jackson is a “one stop shop” for better health and wellness, bringing together primary and urgent care, advanced medical and surgical specialists, imaging and laboratory services, and fitness and wellness care all in a single destination. This state-of-the-art medical facility will offer both private health care services and services that are traditionally limited to locations within hospitals all under one roof in an easily accessible environment.

“This facility will provide us room to grow and better serve our patients,” said Scott Druckman, D.O., a Family Practice physician who will have an office in Meridian Health Village. With comfort and convenience in mind, the Village will feature a unique design to make any visit a breeze. With warm and welcoming elements and fixtures, the village is designed to feel more like a town square than a medical office. This facility is designed by the Saphire/Alberran Architect and will be constructed by M. Gordon Construction Company. Lakewood Shopper.

  1. “Askonim?”What askonim were there? What does the have to do with lakewood? This dr. Does not service anyone in lakewood as far I know! Meridion has 2 hospitals that do service the orthedox in lakewood But that has nothing to do with the orthedox in. Lakewood I wonder why. & who are these ‘askonim’ that were at this event?

  2. to number one! this is a great medical facility that is part of the jersey shore and ocean medical center family and the facility is a 5 minute drive from most of Lakewood 14th street area and south lake area and 150,000 sq feet is a whole lot of doctors with labs rehab etc this is a great benefit to the Lakewood community and will help meridian get some more business to their hospitals as you will be able to follow up with doctors very close by!

all the local organizations work well with meridian hatzola bikur cholim and chai lifeline and i don’t know why you would comment if you don’t have any idea whats going on in the medical field

  3. that’s what askonim are there for! to cut ribbons and dig in groundbreakings!!

because they (hatzola )respond in middle of the night to save lives! because they (bikur cholim) respond in middle of the night to bring people in hospital food! because they respond (chai lifeline) in middle of the night when someone is r”l diagnosed with cancer!

so they respond when invited in middle of the day to show support for the medical people that make this all possible

  4. Can someone open an educational facility for the commenters of TLS. I’d say 40% don’t know how to write a straight paragraph!

  5. With H” brucha we should only know medical facilities for the delivery of babies. It IS a very great brucha to have more good medical help near us, but an even greater and more necessary brucha is to be in a state where the medical need is for baby delivery (and even that will be done at home as it was in mitzrayim).
