  1. It’s not worth bringing the older ones, if the younger ones are home anyway. At least the older ones can stay home to help out. I think I’ll be doing that.

  2. If the NYC public scool system remained open today despite 8 inches of snow in NYC, how is it “not worth” bringing yiddishe kinder to cheder to learn Torah with 2-4 inches decently plowed?

  3. Thank you for having school today, but can Bais Faiga please improve their snow number! I called and called this morning and could not get through.

  4. Why can’t Bais Faiga be like the other schools?
Bais Rivka Rochel already had on their snow number last night that they are closed today. What’s the point in having school today? You’re making the parents come out in the snow to drive their daughters to be in school for so short? It’s like no point!!!!!!!!
I’m not saying the school day today should be longer, but I’m saying the opposite. Why bother to have the teachers and mothers trudge out to Bais Faiga today?!?!
And the rest of the kids are home today, so it causes a whole fight, the Bais Faiga kids don’t want to go to school, because everyone else is home……
The Cheder is understandable to have school; they are boys. But why bother with the girls??!?!?!!?!?!?

  5. Why does this city shut down for a few sprinkles of snow? the streets are very drivable….this is winter!!! maybe we should cancel school for the entire winter!!

  6. why do playgroups follow bf schedule?!!! transporting 15 kids to school is not a big deal! if bf closes it’s because of their large size and unfeasibility of transportation. it’s time playgroups stop trying to get out of having school at every possible opportunity

  7. ok so no one is happy. some because their kids have school, some because their kids are home, and some because it was only for a short time. wow i can find a lot more important things to stress out about!!
and to #8 a lot of morahs write in thier contracts that they will be following BF primary schedule, so why should they refund you anything? if i signed a contract (which I did) that my childs morah will take off when BF primary is off then she has no responsibility to pay me back!!
