Officer Uninjured in 2 Car MVA; Driver Issued Summons

PHOTOS: A Lakewood Police Officer was unharmed after being involved in a crash late last night. Police say a driver crashed into the patrol car at the intersection of Pine Street and New Hampshire Avenue, sending the patrol car onto the grass. The other vehicle’s airbags deployed.

The officer was not hurt, but the other driver was transported to the hospital and released.

The driver was issued a summons for Careless Driving. [TLS-46/TLS-MK/TLS-WY/TLS-28].

Somehow I cannot believe the comments that are being posted. This intersection is the scene of many serious and sometimes deadly traffic crashes.

Let us thank God that the Officer was not injured, as he was on duty protecting and defending the people of Lakewood Township.

Mr. scared lkwd driver,

I think Mr Hobday made a valid point. When a person suffers a mishap while in our service it behooves us to take a greater interest in his predicament.
I didn’t see in Mr Hobday’s comment any disregard for the others involved in the crash.
I suspect that he took offense at the comments besmirching the integrity of the members of LPD, and I do too.
