Officer Chris Matlosz Added To Fallen Officers List At Annual Law Enforcement Memorial Event

Ocean County Law Enforcement Memorial Day 2011 pic.jpg2PHOTOS & VIDEO (Updated 2:15 p.m.) This morning, the Ocean County annual Law Enforcement Memorial Day Service honored the fallen Ocean County Police Officers, adding 2 new officers to the list. The first, was Ocean Gate Police Officer Jason C. Marles, who died Nov. 25, 2010 in a motor vehicle accident.

The second, was Lakewood Police Officer Chris Matlosz, murdered on January 14, 2011.

The annual event, hosted by the Ocean County Chiefs of Police Association with the Ocean County Board of Chosen Freeholders, took place at the Ocean County Park.

In attendance, were dozens of officials and over 100 police officers representing the towns in Ocean County.

At the ceremony, the families of the fallen officers placed a wreath at the Police Memorial to serve as an everlasting memory. TLS.
