(EXCLUSIVE) A Lakewood Police Officer must have had an angel watching over him again yesterday evening, when he fell off a ladder twenty feet to the ground. Lenny Nieves Jr. was doing work on a ladder around his father’s home around 7:00 p.m. Sunday evening, when the ladder gave way causing him to lose his balance and fall to the ground. Miraculously, Lenny only suffered some cuts and bruises to his shins, hands, elbow and back. He was not taken to the hospital but was later checked out by a couple of Haztolah members. This isn’t the first time Lenny escaped serious injury.
Lenny Nieves Jr. was one of the SWAT members involved in the shootout on September 24th in which his father-Lenny Nieves Sr.-was shot. Sources tell TLS, that Lenny Jr. and officer Lopez-a fellow SWAT member-lay on top of Officer John Wilson after he was wounded at the shootout, to protect him from further harm.
Ironically, Lenny Jr. was hurt more during yesterday’s ordeal.
May God protect all who put their lives in danger to protect us and may the injured officers have a speedy recovery. TLS.
very not clear article:
“Lenny Nieves Jr. was one of the SWAT members involved in the shootout on September 24th in which his father-Lenny Nieves Sr.-was shot”
who got shot the father or the sun? the sun was involved in the operation and the father at home got shot? it just makes no sense
sun, moon? or just SON
Lenny Nieves Jr AND Sr, are both police officers in Lakewood twp as well as SWAT members. Lenny Nieves Sr was shot but had minor injury since the bullet-proof vest he was wearing saved him. His son (or sun) Lenny Jr was on the seen as well and escaped with no injury….. That’s untill last night when he was doing work outside his fathers house.
Thanks for the clarification Genius. Just wondering, by whom was he seen on the scene?
Well whatever the exact wording of the story is both Nieves Sr and Jr are true hero’s and part of Lakewood’s finest police department, and SRT team. Wishing all the officers, not just the wounded one’s a speedy recovery and well wishes to their families. It takes an entire community to come together after an event like this for true healing.
