Ocean County Law Enforcement Leaders to Meet to Discuss Student Safety in Wake of Texas Massacre

Law Enforcement leaders in Ocean County will be meeting to discuss student safety in wake of the massacre at the Robb Elementary School in Texas.

“There will be a meeting with our County law enforcement leaders in order to discuss steps we can take to protect our children,” said Commissioner Kelly on behalf of the Board.

Kelly added, “The Ocean County Board of Commissioners mourns the tragic loss of the 19 children and two teachers killed May 24 in a school shooting at Robb Elementary School in Uvalde, Texas. This Board strongly supports the ongoing work of Ocean County Prosecutor Bradley D. Billhimer, Ocean County Sheriff Michael G. Mastronardy, the Ocean County Chiefs of Police Association and all of our local police departments as they assure public safety in all Ocean County schools. We support the Office of the Ocean County Superintendent of Schools in making sure educational facilities across the County are safe and that students and teachers are provided with important resources to help them through this difficult time.”

“Our thoughts and prayers go out to the students, families and school staff affected by this unthinkable act of violence,” Kelly stated.
