To celebrate 2019 National Nutrition Month, the Ocean County Health Department (OCHD) is offering a generous dose of diverse and comprehensive health services and screenings at an open house special event taking place on March 19, 2019. The OCHD Health and Nutrition Open House is open to all residents and the classes, screenings and programs are all free!
Ocean County Freeholder Gerry P. Little, liaison to the Ocean County Health Department explains, “It’s a wonderful one-stop opportunity for residents to come out and take advantage of the wide variety of free services the health department is offering at this special one day event. Bring the family or a friend and learn so much valuable information regarding smart nutrition and living a healthy lifestyle – or just take advantage of one of the free screenings.”

“The Ocean County Health Department is working diligently to bridge the gaps in accessing health care in our communities while creating a really fun and interactive environment for kids and adults alike to support good nutrition,” says Daniel E. Regenye, OCHD Public Health Coordinator. “A special highlight of the event is the delicious, but healthy, dishes we’ll show people how to prepare. There are so many great recipes that are extremely healthy and appetizing at the same time.”
The OCHD Health and Nutrition Open House will run from 10a.m. to 2p.m. on March 19, 2019 at the WIC office located at 1771 Madison Avenue in Lakewood.
