The Ocean County Health Department is hosting a free informational program for faith-based leaders, preschool, childcare directors and staff, school nurses, pediatric office managers, and primary care physician’s office nurses on the importance of immunizing children against vaccine-preventable diseases.
Daniel Regenye, OCHD Public Health Coordinator, said, “We have several guest speakers presenting at this informative program who will speak about the importance of age-appropriate vaccinations, myths of childhood vaccinations, auditing schools for immunization compliance, vaccine preventable diseases and how everyone is part of the solution to keeping our children healthy.”
The program will take place at the Ocean County College Grunin Center for the Arts Building #12. Registration and continental breakfast begins at 8:30AM and the program is from 9AM until 12PM. The program is sponsored by the Ocean County Faith-Based Initiative Program, the Ocean County Health Department and the Long Beach Island Health Department.
