The Ocean County Board of Chosen Freeholders honored former Freeholder and Lakewood Township Mayor Joseph E. Buckelew during a special ceremony at the Board’s regular meeting.

Buckelew joined an elite group of New Jersey residents, including Albert Einstein, Bruce Springsteen, Buzz Aldrin, Frank Sinatra and Thomas Edison when he was inducted into the Hall of Fame on May 6th.

Dignitaries invited to the meeting included local officials, legislators, former Freeholders and other special guests.

Mr. Buckelew is the first former Ocean County Freeholder to be inducted into the Hall of Fame.
