Ocean County Detective Scott Stevens Laid to Rest

PHOTO: Officials from around the County gathered yesterday as Ocean County Special Operation Group Detective John Scott Stevens was laid to rest.

Steven, of Forked River, died as a result of injuries sustained in a motor vehicle crash on Thursday, January 8.

Det. Stevens would have served fifteen years this April with the Ocean County Prosecutor’s Office.

As earlier reported, Governor Christie ordered state flags to be flown at half-staff in his honor.
